VEER to Screen in New York at the Lincoln Center May 5th
February 16, 2009
The producers of Veer are pleased to announce a New York City premiere May 5th at the Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater. The screening coincides with Bike Month and the Lincoln Center Film Society’s Green Screens program.
The sold-out Canadian Premiere of Veer took place February 4th at the Victoria Film Festival, and the festival added a second screening at the last minute to accommodate demand. The added screening sold out as well.
The Lincoln Center’s New York premiere will be attended by Veer Director, Greg Fredette, Cinematographer, Jason Turner, and Bicycle Transportation Alliance Executive Director, Scott Bricker, who will participate in a panel discussion after the film screening.
Organizers describe the film series: “The Film Society's Green Screens program addresses through film the vital environmental concerns of global warming, the safety of our food supply, sustainable living, and more. Each screening includes a discussion and reception with artists and expert commentators, where we invite non-profit organizations and others to provide materials and raise awareness of the many positive actions we can all take.”
